    60 Years of Tutoring Chicago

    • 1965

      Cabrini-Green Tutoring Program launches with about 15 volunteers and 40 students. 

    • 1970

      One-to-one tutor to students ratio is established. 1970 starts with 100 tutors.

    • 1990

      Incorporation into a nonprofit organization,

    • 2012

      Continued program growth (400 students) leads to rebrand to Tutoring Chicago.

    • 2020

      Virtual tutoring begins in response to the COVID-19 pandemic

    • 2025

      60th anniversary program year launches with the goal to serve a record 1,400 students with the help of 1,40 volunteer tutors.
